Triatrium

The Triatrium means three groups of threes, and is a combination of the Latin word tria which means three, and the Latin word trium (plural) which means groups of threes.

3 - 6 - 9

3 is the Divine Number. 9 is composed of three groups of three. It has been said "If you want to understand the secrets of the universe, then understand the secrets of 3-6-9." While this is true, it is not the whole story. 3-6-9 cannot be properly understood as such, but only as 3 groups of 3: 3 being the head of the 1-2-3 group, 6 being the head of the 4-5-6 group, and 9 being the head of the 789 group. These three groups cannot be properly understood except as a three-fold process or aspects, and in this way the three numbers of each trium cannot be broken up. They are units of three as a process, yet operate or function in conjunction with the three stage processes or aspects of the other two groups of three. I use the term process or stages here not in a sense of linear time, but more to illustrate that they are integral to each other. 1+2+3 add to 6, as does 4+5+6=15, then 1+5=6, 7+8+9=24, then 2+4=6. Unfortunately 666 gets a bad name from Christian teaching, but there is nothing malevolant about 666. 666 is all thumbs up. Of the three triplets: 333, 666, 999, the 333 and 999 consist of odd numbers but the 666 of even numbers. 666 can be divided in half with whole numbers, but the 333 and 999 cannot. This is significant because God cannot be divided, and 3 reresents God and the spiritual realm.

Of the 1st group (1-2-3), the numbers add 6, then of the 2d group, the numbers add to 15, then of the 3d group, the numbers add to 24, and again it is the 2 and 4 that I am interested in here. There are five numbers: 1-2-4-5-6 (but no 3). They add to 9 (18: 1+8=9). Of the non present numbers: 3-7-8-9 they also add to 9 ( 27: 2+7=9). It is interesting that both the 3 and 9 are not found. 3 and 9 are the spiritual numbers. Each sum is 9 apart: 6 is 9 away from 15, then 24 is 9 away from 15.

Yet we can also look at the 9 numbers not as nine, nor as a chronology as being numbered as 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9, but rather as the number 3 with three aspects of each of the 3 numbers. The core number is 3, not 1 and not 9. Pythagoras was wrong when he stated that 1 is the number of God and Unity. This cannot be because at the first stage of the 1-2-3 process there is nothing to unify. 2 represents polarity (more on this later). It is the 3 that is the unity, not the 1. So in another sense we can say that only 3 numbers exist (functionally), with thee aspects of those 3 numbers. In the spiritual realm 3 is the core of everything.

In the material realm there is of necessity polarity, and this is because everything is built upon hydrogen, (the number 2) which is a polarity (one proton and one electron). The reason why hydrogen typifies the material realm is because all molecules, no matter how complex, have one proton and one electron as there core. Nothing can be reduced lower than hydrogen without disintegrating. This is a bit off the topic, but groups like the Jehovah's Witnesses who teach that there will be a utopia on earth are failing to understand the impossibility of this idea because this material world must of necessity contain both positive and negative, good and bad, otherwise it cannot exist in the first place, because this material world is at its core hydrogen, which is a polarity.

3 is the core of everything

For the purpose of this article, I am using the term "God" in a generic sense (not using a Biblical definition or understanding). For God to have all knowledge, God must experience all things. True knowledge comes from experience. So who is it that experiences all things? It is you and me, and everyone else who has ever lived or will live. By default then, it is you and me who are God. If a man is dying of thirst and you give him a jug of water, you have given him life and are to him God. A dying man is not interested in abstractions.

I have created an illustration to share my theory about the number 3. It is based on the ancient Egyptian understanding of Amun, who was an Egyptian deity who was considered to be the hidden part of God. Imagine an border, or bubble, or a protected area where Amun abides. Keep in mind that altho I am presenting this as a chronology, in the spiritual realm time does not exist. I am using some terms here that I invented to create this illustration:

The Need: The need for Knowledge, but this need as realized while inside the domain of Amun.

The Idea: This is what The Need transitions to immediately after it breaks thru the area or realm of Amun

The Expanse: This is the vast area, in fact ALL area outside of the realm of Amun. Amun realizing that it needs all Knowledge, has a need to have this need fulfilled (The Need). The Need is not a polarity, and in fact there is no polarity within the realm of Amun, (in the spiritual realm) The Need then penetrates the (imaginary) shell on Amun and immediately on the other side of this shell The Need becomes a polarity, and transitions into The Idea. On the other side of the shell is The Expanse which is latently a positive charge. The Expanse only becomes positive after The Idea enters it. The Idea can only ne a negative charge because it moves, and The Expanse can only be a positive charge because it is receiving The Idea. A receptor site cannot move. Just as in human sexuality the male part moves but the female part does not. This is why in all mythologies involving a sacred couple and a child, the child is always male ... the male moves toward the female. Manly Hall claims that there have been numerous cycles of creation throughout the eons of time.

Man: What The Idea becomes after a polarity is formed from The Idea.

After The Idea and The Expanse have mated, man is produced, and it is man who experiences all things. The creation (or re-creation) of man is not reincarnation, and shd not be understood in this way. It is simply having an adequate vollume of people who are able to experience all situations, both good and bad and in between, in order for all knowledge to be obtained. Then after The Need has been satisfied and The Idea has run its course and finished the job, it is time to return to the realm of Amun with this Knowledge. The Idea transitions into The Knowledge after it has completed its task. Then after The Knowledge (formerly The Idea) penetrates thru (back into) the realm of Amun and leaves The Expanse, then The Expanse ceases to be a positive charge. A positive charge cannot exist without the presence of a negative charge. The negative charge of The Idea ceases after the shell of Amun is penetrated and The Need for Knowledge is fulfilled. This illustration is intended to provide an insight into the significance of the number 3 and that our very existence is based on it. Here is a summary of the three stages:

1) All Knowledge is needed for God to be God. God is incomplete. This is 1, the starting point, but not unity.

2) Man is created to aquire all knowledge (God becomes man). The number 2 here denotes a polarity.

3) The Knowledge is obtained, and now the cycle is completed. This is the unity of the number 3. God is complete.

The Musical Triatrium

The Triatrium as found on the keyboard, is not a chord nor a scale. The Triatrium does not begin or end on a key, as does a chord ot scale, rather, it is centralized and symmetrical. It consists of 3 groups of 3, but not in any chronology.

I have coloured the three groupings to show the symmetry, and lack of chronology. The reason is is not chronological is because the starting point is the centre, and we can only branch out in both directions at the same time, as this is a symmetry. The E-F-F# cannot be counted as the first group and more than the A#/Bf-B-C can, because the starting point is the centre. Keep in mind that the naming of the keys (A-B-C-D-E-F-G) is arbitrary, yet convey a sense of chronology as letters. (Why not use letters up to L because there are 12 tones?) In the context of the Triatrium such letter-names of keys are misapplied because they denote chronology, in which in this case is 1 to 7. Also misapplied are the numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 in relation to the Triatrium because within the triatrium there are 3 groups of 3, and no number higher than 3.

They are three groups, but the groups themselves are not numbered: they are 3 groups of 3. Within the span of the Triatrium, there are 3 black keys and 6 white keys. Only 9 keys can be counted because (in ESoteric numerology), only 9 numbers exist, therefore only 9 notes can be used. Even when we study intervals, they always add to 9. For example, if we have a -6th going one way, we have a +3d going the other, a -7th one way and a +2d the other, a +7th one way and a -2d the other, an augmented 4th one way and a diminished 5th the other. etc. This despite the fact that there are 12 notes. There is no 3-6-9 here. The 3-6-9 exists in EXoteric numerology, but does not exist in ESoteric numerology, whereas the Triatrium exists in ESoteric numerology, but not in EXoteric numerology. There is symmetry in the central group of 3: white-black-white. The symmetry in the outside groups of 3 occur when comparing them: white-white-black ... black-white-white

There are two places we can start from in creating three groups of three in symmetry, the other one being D. One difference between the two is that when using the D there are 4 black keys and 5 white keys, hence no multiples of 3, and further, when using D as the starting point, there are no grouping of 3 white or black keys. Only the G#/Af contains a group of 3 (black) keys.

There are 3 white keys on each side, with the three black keys in the centre. The three groups are (not to be understood chronologically): E-F-F#/Gf ... G-G#/Af-A ... A#/Bf-B-C. We can also see 3 groups of 3 as whites and blacks:

In both cases there is symmetry. Symmetry is a divine quality, but symmetry is not to be confused with polarity. Symmetry avoids and prevents the application of chronology. My use of conventional ket names is for reference purposes only. One problem with using letter names is that it is chronological, but there is no chronology in the Triatrium.
